👋👩🏻‍🦰 Hi, it’s Caroline here, ready to dive into the final piece of our Calm Launch Fundamentals series!

***

Our results prove that launching doesn't have to be chaotic, stressful or intimidating. Instead, it can be simple, repeatable, predictable, and fun.

BUT in order for the simple approach to work, you need one non-negotiable secret weapon: sales messaging that actually CONNECTS to your audience and CONVERTS to sales.

It's great that you know your target customer...
It's even better that you have an offer that delivers value and solves a problem...
It's phenomenal that you have an engaged email list that trusts you...

But none of those things will turn into sales and move the right people to act unless you know how to clearly and effectively communicate the value of your offer.

How do you do that? Well, that brings us to our our third calm launch fundamental: Sell with Storytelling!

Calm Launch Fundamentals Lesson #3: SELL with STORYTELLING

The three biggest mistakes we see with sales messaging are the following:

  1. Making your offer the hero, when it should be your customer. 🦸‍♀️
  2. Harping on the features of your offer, instead of how each feature benefits your customer. 💪
  3. Forgetting to craft a story of transformation. 🦋

Effective sales messaging boils down to painting a future picture of transformation and then positioning your offer as the bridge to that future.

But when you're so close to your product, it's hard to zoom the lens out and see that story of transformation that can resonate deeply with your customer.

Wanna know our secret to making sure we don't fall for these mistakes?

Before every launch, we make ourselves a "Customer-Led Copy Catalog."

This "catalog" is a list of phrases and copy snippets that we write down about our ideal customer, how our offer connects to their needs, and what transformation our offer facilitates.

Then, any time we write anything—our sales page, sales emails, pre-launch content—we pull from this treasure trove of copy and infuse this STORY into every word we craft.

This is how we're able to sell effectively without webinars, without social media ads, without complex funnels—just a compelling message, rooted in a story of transformation, infused into our sales emails, sales page and promo messages.

Inside Calm Launch Formula, we teach you the 25 Copy Catalog snippets you need (plus an expertly-crafted AI prompt that helps write them for you!!) but for today, let's focus on writing these 6 before your next launch. We'll use WAIM Unlimited as our example offer to show you how we write our copy.

  • Big Problem: What is the major challenge your customer is facing?
    • Example: "Your business feels like a constant rollercoaster—chaotic, unpredictable, exhausting, and leaving you teetering on the edge of burnout."
  • Big Solution: How does your product solve that problem?
    • Example: "WAIM Unlimited makes your rollercoaster of a business more predictable, profitable and peaceful by offering resources, tools and community to launch digital products and grow your audience without sacrificing your well-being."
  • Symptoms: What are the specific signs that your customer is experiencing this problem?
    • Example: "You’re drowning in endless tasks, overwhelmed by trying to juggle too many offers, and constantly feel like you’re running on fumes without seeing steady progress."
  • Outcomes: What are the specific improvements to their life they'll experience after using your product?
    • Example: "With WAIM Unlimited, you’ll experience smoother, more successful launches, increased sales with less effort, and the clarity to focus on what truly drives growth—all while carving out more time for the things that light you up."
  • Transformation: How will their identity or circumstances shift after solving this problem?
    • Example: "You’ll shift your biz from chaos to calm, from feeling like a stressed-out solopreneur to a confident, calm creator in full control of success on your own terms."
  • Summit: What’s the ultimate goal that this outcome helps them achieve?
    • Example: "You’ll achieve a thriving, calm business that brings you time freedom AND financial freedom, allowing you to work less and live more."

When you take the time to define these various parts of your sales story, you are making sure that the value of your offer doesn't get lost in the noise.

Ps. If you're interested in learning more about Customer-Led Copy, we highly recommend checking out WAIM Unlimited next Monday, which comes with Calm Launch Formula inside where we dive into this concept further and show you how to apply it to your sales emails, sales page, etc.!

taking action ⚡️

Start your own Copy Catalog

To start selling with storytelling today, we want you to take action and:

Take a few minutes to fill out these six core pieces of your Copy Catalog.

These six pieces are the foundation of all your messaging: Big Problem, Big Solution, Symptoms, Outcomes, Summit, and Transformation.

Start by jotting down a sentence or two for each—keep it simple and focused on your ideal customer. These will become the backbone of your sales page, emails, and any content you create.

Once you've got them written down, you'll have a go-to resource that makes writing copy faster, easier, and way more effective!

Then, you know the drill. Once you complete your mission, hit reply to let us know you took action. This is the first step towards your next calm and compelling launch!

***

And that wraps up our series! Your 3 steps to a Calm Launch approach are:

  1. Simplify
  2. Systematize
  3. Sell with Storytelling

Forget the Facebook ads, the complex funnels, the endless tasks that burn you out before your launch even begins.

When you focus on these fundamentals and you set goals that reflect your desire for enough sales rather than squeezing every last dollar from what you're doing, launching can become an enjoyable part of your business that fuels your growth.
